Considering max for live but have some ??'s
  • Simple question guys.  I've got apc 40 and launchpad so max for live (or boome's) looks like a pretty solid idea.  I'll be honest that mainly I'd just love to use patches that have been created and are free (maxforlive.com).  That being said can't I just use max runtime and donwload patches like trackteam audio's mononom emulater.
  • Also curious as to how max is working for folks in live.  I've seen some folks complain in the forum, but ya never know if people are being straight forward.  Does it add latency to recording or cause the program to slow at all.
  • Thanks guys....hope this sight picks up so I can learn more about max so I'll go out and grab it in the long run

Any latency i've seen (with 8 devices of 18mb) are purely on the gui and have never been on the audio side of things....

Bomes is great but once you've passed the learning curve on Max you can find workarounds to get the same functionality, i'd say if you were using other controllers then bomes is still better value but with the APC40 and the access to the device itself through M4l its hard to beat.....

If it's no help i have both bomes and m4l and wouldn't sell either!

Cheers
